Dr. McCroskey is a Worker-Trait-Factor Job-Person Matching Theoretician, Statistician and Computer Programs Developer. Since 1977, Dr. McCroskey has engaged in a wide variety of State and National research and statistical analyses. These have lead to the development of the MVQS 2001 5th and 6th Edition Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) Extended Dataset Edition (McDOT, McPLOT and MTSP 2001 - 2005) Computerized Job Person Matching, Transferable Skills Analysis, Occupational Density, Job Openings, Reinforcers-Values Agreement, and Earning Capacity Prediction Estimation Programs.
Dr. McCroskey has worked as an Educator, Program Evaluation Research Specialist, Research Grant Writer, Vocational and Rehabilitation Economics Analyst, Work Evaluator, Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant and Vocational Expert for the Social Security Administration Bureau of Hearings and Appeals.
Dr. McCroskey has taught graduate level courses in such areas as: Rehabilitation Counseling, Career Development, Vocational Evaluation, Psychological Testing and Advanced Statistical Analysis Courses at the University of Georgia, Mississippi State University and Mankato State University.
Since 1987, Dr. McCroskey has field-mentored several graduate students in research design, data collection, statistical analysis and completion of Doctoral Dissertations on Testing, Hedonics, Earning Capacity and Mental Health.
Dr. McCroskey is currently co-editor of the Journal of Forensic Vocationology. He serves as a peer reviewer for The Earnings Analyst Journal of the American Rehabilitation Economics Association and has served as associate editor and peer reviewer for the American Board of Vocational Experts' Journal of Forensic Vocational Assessment for several years. Since 2004, he has been a Board Member of ABVE and Chair of the ABVE Test Maintenance and Knowledge Enhancement Seminar Committee.
Since 1977, to date and continuing, Dr. McCroskey has authored or co-authored more than 100 empirical research Journal Articles, Books and Manuals, and has provided thousands of Vocational and Rehabilitation Economic Analyses, Reports and related Expert Witness Testimony. He developed MVQS McCroskey Transferable Skills Analysis (TSA), Critical Variables/Critical Values and Geo-Location Job Openings / Occupational Density Theories and Related Reliability/Validity Research at the 9-digit McDOT Code Level for inclusion in MVQS McDOT 6th Ed. Dictionary of Occupational Titles & Volcano Programs. There have been many scientific peer-reviewed, published research studies demonstrating High Validity and Reliability with reasonable Standard Errors of Estimate for MVQS TSA & Earning Capacity Estimates.
